Group Endorses Tinubu, Gov. Bassey Otu and Sen. Jarigbe for 2027

Stakeholders from the Northern Senatorial District of Cross River State resident in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, have endorsed the re-election bids of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Bassey Edet Otu and Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was made during a rally held in the Federal Capital Territory, where stakeholders drawn from various political, professional and community leadership backgrounds reviewed the progress of governance under the three leaders.

At the end of the event, the group issued a communiqué encouraging the three leaders to continue in office until 2031, citing their leadership, developmental initiatives, and commitment to the welfare of the people.

The communiqué was presented by the Liaison Officer to the Governor at the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Cynthia Nkasi. She noted that the stakeholders remain committed to supporting the leadership of President Tinubu, Governor Otu, and Senator Jarigbe.

Commendation for Senator Jarigbe

The stakeholders expressed appreciation to Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe for his political efforts and integration into the All Progressives Congress (APC), which they said has helped position Cross River North for greater benefits from both the state and federal governments.

They also commended the senator for providing what they described as exceptional and broad-based representation for the people of the zone, while working closely with Governor Bassey Otu to advance the governor’s “People First” agenda in the state.

According to the group, several projects facilitated by Senator Jarigbe have been evenly distributed across the Northern Senatorial District, bringing development closer to communities.

Education and Youth Development

The stakeholders further praised Senator Jarigbe’s commitment to education and youth empowerment, highlighting his role in facilitating employment opportunities for Cross River North indigenes and supporting young people through overseas scholarship opportunities and the Jari Bursary Scheme.

They also acknowledged the increased political visibility and recognition that the district has gained since his election to the Senate.

Call for Re-Election

In view of these achievements, the stakeholders encouraged Senator Jarigbe to remain focused on delivering on his mandate and to seek re-election to continue providing quality representation for the people of Cross River North.

The group also expressed satisfaction with the developmental strides recorded under Governor Bassey Otu’s administration, particularly his efforts to complete projects initiated by previous administrations across the state.

They equally noted the economic reforms introduced by the APC-led federal government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Unanimous Endorsement

Consequently, the stakeholders unanimously endorsed Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe for another term in the Senate, Governor Bassey Otu for a second term as Governor of Cross River State, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

They further pledged to mobilize support across communities, associations, and groups within Cross River North Senatorial District and beyond to ensure victory for the leaders and all candidates of the APC in the 2027 elections.
